Florence
An open-air museum

Florence is a true open-air museum, wherever you go you will see wonderful monuments, statues, palaces and paintings. In the central Piazza del Duomo you can admire the cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with its beautiful 14th century brick dome designed by Brunelleschi, the baptistery and Giotto's Tower. Taking Via Calzaiuoli you can first see many beautiful stores (because we all need a little shopping, right?) and then arrive at Piazza della Signoria where you can admire the very famous Palazzo Vecchio with its unmistakable crenellated shape and Michelangelo's David.
If you love art and want to see some of the most important masterpieces of our time, we recommend a visit (however brief) to the Uffizi museum. Beyond the square you will find the very romantic Ponte Vecchio, one of the symbols of the city of Florence. If you still have some time to spare, we recommend ending the day by going to admire the sunset from Piazzale Michelangelo.
