Giglio Island and Giannutri
A trip to the sea during your vacation in Tuscany
Consider taking a dip in the sea during your Siena vacation. How should it be done? Simple! Use this itinerary to spend a day on the islands of Giglio and Giannutri, which are known for their crystal clear water and unspoiled nature.
The day will begin early, with a meeting in Piazza Gramsci at 7:15 a.m. You will arrive in Talamone by bus, where a very comfortable boat will be waiting for you. Once on board, we recommend that you keep an eye out for dolphins! After about an hour of sailing, you will arrive at Giglio. When you arrive on the island, you will have free time to explore the area by taking public transportation or renting a scooter.
At lunchtime, you can either re-board the boat for a trip to tiny Giannutri or continue your visit to Giglio; if you choose the latter, you can participate in a guided tour of the Roman Villa. At the end of the day, the boat will return you to Talamone, where you will board the bus for your return trip.
